a new year!

I took several photos on new years day, but then this morning was the best ever sunrise.
I snapped this on my phone out of the car window on the way to work.
What better to start a new year than the most beautiful new morning!
So this year is about not following the rules exactly, hence I submit a photo taken on Jan 4th!

This is a sad photo, dear old dog was lucky to spend christmas with us, but has only a few days or maybe weeks left to live.

an easy choice!
this was just snapped at the time, but has stuck in my memory ever since as being the nicest photo I've captured of them all year. It's fun and relaxed.

festive feasts!

This weeks This weeks prompt nearly defeated me, as I rush around taking care of our manic household and trying to prepare for christmas. However, I love the 52 photos project and all the kind, generous and hugely talented people involved, and am determined not to miss a week.
Although I thought it's a little too early in the season for me to have produced anything picturesque, I then had a little inspiration from todays cooking challenge - preparing the cranberry sauce!
