This is a sad photo, dear old dog was lucky to spend christmas with us, but has only a few days or maybe weeks left to live.

my favourite photo
an easy choice!
this was just snapped at the time, but has stuck in my memory ever since as being the nicest photo I've captured of them all year. It's fun and relaxed.

festive feasts!
This weeks This weeks prompt nearly defeated me, as I rush around taking care of our manic household and trying to prepare for christmas. However, I love the 52 photos project and all the kind, generous and hugely talented people involved, and am determined not to miss a week.
Although I thought it's a little too early in the season for me to have produced anything picturesque, I then had a little inspiration from todays cooking challenge - preparing the cranberry sauce!

something borrowed
I've been so enjoying the 52 photos project. I'm so grateful for all the lovely comments that I've received, I appreciate each one. It's been such fun looking at all the superb photos that have been presented into each weeks gallery.
Something borrowed was a prompt that stumped me a bit.
However, this was a photo I took about 2 weeks ago, and I was very pleased with it. I was planning on submitting it to a local interest competition, so that was my plan for this photo, I guess I am borrowing it from that plan to put into this blog instead!

just as I was wondering how to tackle the topic of handwriting, when my own is so very bad, and some postcards dropped through the letter box!

circle
I was sent to photograph a circle.
I captured 2 very different circles, I wonder which one I will submit?

words and pictures
Our family will be welcoming a new puppy into our midst this week.
This photo was taken at a visit to our puppy when he was tiny a few weeks ago.
He will seem much bigger when he comes home in 2 days time!

my quiet place
I contemplated another garden photo, but eventually concluded the only place I am guaranteed peace and quiet is in my car!

profile
This last month I've been doing a series of photos based on the letters of the alphabet. I didn't intend this photo to be a profile, just a photo for "U", but I misjudged the lighting, and found a perfect profile photo instead!

old and young
I went out and took a few photos to convert to black and white, but this picture I snapped at church on sunday was much better!

reflection
I've decided to go with a photo I took of a refreshing glass of wine that I took on holiday a few weeks ago, reminds me of a happy time!
This is the most accessible body of water I could get to this week.
It's not the best reflection, but I love the photos, especially the local landmark tower in the background!

rusted and vintage
as soon as I saw the prompt this week, I knew I had to go back and photograph an old barn I'd driven past earlier the same day. so for rusted I have 2 pictures from a very enjoyable evening photo shoot. I love the colours and textures.
...and for vintage I present a photo taken today of a Japonica bush that's outside my front door. I have edited it a little on my phone, now vintage!

chocolate!
Am so proud of this photo - mainly because I managed to purchase my favourite chocolate, unwrap it, photograph it, then put it away again without eating it!
I had a little later on however!

a summer treat
This lovely hat was given to my daughter. She loves it, and it's a great sunhat, but she insists on wearing it back to front!

a word about me
this was a tricky one - a word to describe me!
I just couldn't find a word anywhere, but then I found a photo. I snapped it on my phone on the way home from work yesterday.
I looked at the photo and the word loved came to me.
Looking at my amazing family, and thinking of how much I love them, and I know they love me back.
Someone loves this car, it's large, colourful, well past it's best before date but someone adores it and uses it.
And to top it all, I've been on instagram for a few weeks now, and this photo was the first and only one I've posted that has "made the popular page", so I'm very proud of this acheivement!
So I took the photo and added the word - hope that's not cheating!

The view from Windy Castle
one very windy day we visited Evesham Tower - a very breezy walk, we could only encourage the children to get there by telling them it was Peppa Pig's windy castle (which does look exactly like Evesham Tower). Many flights of stone spiral staircase later, this was the view!
I took this photo on our weekend away in May 2011.

loving the challenge
The 52 photos challenge is fabulous, it's been great browsing all the submissions. This week it was lots of fun choosing a heart to photograph, and I settled on a fresh, simple, colourful option. Thank you to everyone who's left kind comments on this blog, I so appreciate them all.

deep blue sea
Having been watching and thinking of water all week, I can do no better than the deep blue sea, this photo taken on holiday in Northumbria last year, I could sit and look at the sea all day long

a ray of light
Having been tasked with capturing a ray of light this week, the sun steadfastly refused to shine during my "able to take a photograph" hours, so I looked at the beauty of a candle instead. Thanks to this project I have been introduced to the amazing Hipstamatic, which has been like having the most amazing new camera to play with. So here is my ray of light..

i found it on the ground......
I have so been enjoying the 52photosproject, eagerly waiting to hear the prompt on sunday, then choosing a photo to reflect it on wednesday. I just wish I had more time to put this blog together properly - which I will do in time.
Image enthralls me.

first off!
On the theme of nourish, I considered nourishment for the soul as well as the body!
I like the shinyness, and how the sun glints just a little bit through the wine
